At Alta Adams, Watts native chef-owner Keith Corbin creates his version of California soul food. Once the pandemic hit, Corbin and the team began to rethink what it meant for a restaurant to nourish its community. *** ON THE LINE is a four-part documentary shorts series chronicling four Los Angeles restaurants amidst the COVID-19 crisis, produced by Resy and award-winning new media studio Crimes of Curiosity. The series follows the owners and employees of Alta Adams in West Adams, Kensho in Hollywood, Kismet in Los Feliz, and Lasa in Chinatown as they grapple with how to keep their businesses afloat, staff employed, communities fed, and dreams alive during the pandemic, which continues to have a crushing impact on the hospitality industry.
